About mucs

Mizzou Club Swim was founded by Ben Smith in 2008. Ben is the former Aquatic Coordinator at the Mizzou Rec Center and currently works as the Assistant Director of Rec Membership & Facilities at the Washington University in St. Louis.

In 2010, Mizzou Club Swim won 1st place at the East Coast Collegiate Swim Club National Championships.

At College Club Swimming Nationals in 2025, Jione Suh brought home 2nd in the 200 Free.

At 2026 Nationals, standout performances included Ashley Gill with 1st in the 50 back and 3rd in the 50 fly, and Zoe Winter with 2nd in the 100 back and 5th place Women's High Point.

Isabella is a Senior from Springfield, Illinois studying Health Science Leadership and Policy. This is her fourth year on the team and her favorite event is the 50 breastroke. Isabella's favorite memory on the team is going to Nationals in Greensboro and meeting Kyle Sockwell. A fun fact about Isabella is that she loves flowers and is getting a certificate in floral design.

Kate is a Junior from Littleton, Colorado. She is majoring in Health Sciences and will be starting the Respiratory Therapy program this fall! This will be her third year on the team and her favorite events are the 400 IM and 100 free. Her favorite memory on the team is attending Nationals in Greensboro last year and spending time with her teammates. A fun fact about Kate is that she LOVES the Denver Broncos!

Alex is a Sophomore from St. Joseph, Missouri. He is studying Biochemistry and this is his second year on the swim team. His favorite race is the 100 free and his favorite memory is bringing Smash Bros to the meets. Alex enjoys playing music in his free time and is persuing a minor in Jazz Studies!

Ryan is a sophomore sturying Health Sciences Pre-Professional and Spanish. His favorite parts of swim are social kick, long underwaters, and freestyle. HIs favorite part of the MUCS team are the jokes and chants. Fun fact, he has a twin brother also on the team!

Abby is a Junior from St. Louis, Missouri studying Meteorology. This is her second year on the team and her favorite events are the 100 breaststroke and 10o IM. Her favorite memory is social kicking with teammates during practice. A fun fact about her is that she loves baking cookies
